The municipality of Kolding, Denmark, gave us the opportunity to design the full experience of a new visitor center:  its visual identity, exhibition modules, interactive experiences, animations and prints. The challenge: developing a visual language that brought together past and present, and explained the narrative of Skamlingsbanken: a place of human and natural transformation. The exhibition offers a complete journey along the history of an important hill in Danish history. Skamlingsbanken explains how the powers of nature transformed the landscape into becoming a hill and how through the human speech powers, the place became a key landmark where the Danish language was defended from  German influence.

We created a symbol that brings together handwriting, sound waves and earth transformation, and from there developed a graphic system that follows the visitor through the whole experience.
